Q & A

How do I get to GENKI HOUSE?

Located diagonally across the street from the Women's and Children's Hospital, it is about a 5 to 10-minute walk from Guting Station and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Station. It is also accessible by several bus lines, making it easy for friends to visit and families to send things to moms!
Do you have any parking spaces?
GENKI HOUSE is a stand-alone postnatal care center. Some of the rooms come with parking spaces reserved for the parents staying with us.
When can you give me a tour of the postnatal care center?
Moms can start making reservations for a tour and book rooms when they know their due dates or after they receive their mother's handbooks!
How do you differentiate between the styles of different room types?
The rooms are simple and cozy with warm colors. Each room type is the brainchild of the designers. Many ingenious ideas are hidden in the details. They won the iF Design Award at the 2020 iF Design Award in Germany. Mothers are welcome to come for a tour.
Will I be contacted after placing my order?
After the room is booked, we will contact mothers from time to time to check on pregnancy status; before the delivery, we will also provide prenatal care. Mothers can take the initiative to tell us if there are any changes in the due date or delivery method!
Are postpartum meals prepared in the central kitchen of GENKI HOUSE?
As the chefs cook things in different flavors, GENKI HOUSE cooperates with three postpartum meal-making kitchens so that mothers staying here can choose freely and taste different cuisines.
Can I customize my postpartum meals?
Dietary preferences can be set according to food allergies and post-birth wounds (eg. sesame oil, alcohol).
What do I need to bring for my stay?
We will provide equipment such as milk bottle sterilizers, electric breast pumps, and milk warmers. Nursing clothes for mothers and diapers for babies will also be provided.
Mothers need to bring their own underwear (nursing bras, underwear, disposable underwear), sanitary pads, breastmilk secretion pads, milk storage bags, and other personal items.
When babies check-in, bring formula milk and baby handbooks if required. Bring the clothes that babies are going to wear when they check out so that babies can be healthy and adorable when they go home!
Do you provide doctor visits during the stay?
We do!
Obstetricians will visit once a week to check the mother's wound and recovery status.
Pediatricians will visit the baby's room twice a week to check on the growth and health of the baby.
What should I do if I have lactation problems during my stay?
Mothers staying here can tell the nurses taking care of them about your discomfort and symptoms. The nurses will help you to unclog your mammary glands or give you health education on the correct knowledge.

GENKI HOUSE's baby room is separated from the floors where the guest rooms are, and the windows are kept open 24 hours.
If a mother wants to see her baby, she can always watch her baby through the baby room window or ask her nurse to take her baby into her room at any time.
Can my firstborn come to stay with me if I am a mother of a second child?
Mothers of a second child are welcome to stay. All room types can accommodate accompanying firstborn kids.
But for the health of the newborn, the firstborn kid cannot be together with the second-born at the same time!
After the firstborn kid leaves the room, the room will be disinfected by ultraviolet light before and the second-born baby is allowed to enter the room.
